Age 58 of Cowie Hill, Spryfield, passed away on Saturday June 26th, 2021, in the QEII, Health Science Centre from a form of extremely aggressive lung cancer. Born in Halifax he was a son of the late Austin and Joan Way (Rhyno). Jerry was employed with casino taxi from the year 2000 until his passing. He had met many different people from all walks of life throughout his career. He loved to fish and hunt especially with his buddy Jim; they never caught a whole lot, but it was not for the lack of trying. They always had fun and to this day the deer always won out. He also loved to play UNO and always loved sending a bad card your way, he hated to lose but he loved it when he was the winner. He survived by his loving wife, Katharine (Taylor); daughter, Sarah Way and soon to be son-in-law Cody Demings; sisters, Jeannie, of Melville Gardens, Spryfield, Kathleen, of Fort McMurray; and her son, Austin, Mary Cormier, of Fairview; and her children, Sabrina, Ellen; sister-in-law, Marlene; and brother, Edgar "Jim' of Spryfield; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews and last of all his kitty, “Whiskers", who stuck by his side even when he did not want her to, up until he had to go to the hospital. He was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Morris, and Kathleen in infancy; his older brother, Austin. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. We will love and miss you always!
