Edith Belle Anderson, 70 Dominion It is with great sorrow that we the family of Edith Belle Anderson, 70, of Dominion announce her passing on June 22,2021 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, Edith was the daughter of the late Eunice and James Anderson. Edith taught for over 45 years as a teacher, and during those years she worked many jobs, and finally found her dream job at the Adult Vocational School, Sydney, now known as NSCC, Marconi Campus. Edith loved to play darts with the League on Thursday nights. Edith is survived by her sister, Colleen Tighe; Brother, Edward (Colleen) Anderson; Sister-in-law, Sandra Anderson; Chosen grandchildren, Frasier, Hunter, and Brooklyn, whom Edith always referred to as her grandchildren; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews, James (Ruth) Robbie (Charlene), Vicki (Glen), Todd, Michael (Jill), Melissa-Sue, and Ryan; great-nephew, Andrew, and great-nieces, Jordan, and Audrey. Besides her parents, Edith was predeceased by her two brothers, Robert and James, sister and best friend, Barbara, and sister, Jean: Edith was also predeceased by brother-in-law, Eddie Tighe, and nephew Mark Royal. A special thank you to Josie and Dale, for all the parties. To her best friends in life, Delores, Brenda, and Shirley, she loved you dearly. And to all her co-workers, you made Edith’s years at NSCC memorable. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902.849.4199. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Warden United Church, or Hawks Dream Field. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Warden United Church, New Aberdeen at 1 p.m. with Rev. Alison Etter officiating, interment to follow at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
