Obituary of Eric Christopher MacKenzie

MacKenzie, Eric C., age 46 of Lower Sackville. It is with heavy hearts that we announce Eric’s passing on June 27th, 2018. He is survived by parents, Wayne C. MacKenzie (Forest Glade, Anna. Co.), and Janet I. (Low) MacKenzie, West Chezzetcook, stepmother Margaret (MacKay) MacKenzie, sister, Florence J. MacKenzie (Lower Sackville), and daughter, Grace C. MacKenzie (Dartmouth). He is predeceased by grandparents, Neil and Florence MacKenzie and James and Helen Low. Eric was a former member of the Canadian Army Reserves, PL FUS in Halifax, and previously worked as an underwriter at Coast Underwriters. He loved fishing and hunting. He also loved drawing and reading. Eric was very nostalgic and talked a lot about the good times that he had in his life, with cousins, with the friends he grew up with and all other friends he met along the way. His favorite band was Metallica but he loved anything heavy. He also spent a short time in Germany in his youth. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Bedford NS. (902-835-4212). A service will be held at St. John Vianney, 4 Beaverbank Road, Lr. Sackville, NS at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018.
