Age 66, of Halifax It is with hearts as heavy as stone that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Kevin Fredrick Brine on May 28th, 2021, at the VG hospital in Halifax. Kevin was born and raised in Halifax and spent a good portion of his life as a taxi driver. Kevin had a chuckle and a smile so genuine it made anybody who had the privilege to see it feel warm inside. Kevin was a very "live in the moment" kind of man, he never regretted living his life to the fullest in every way possible. His love was a passion that ran skin deep. Kevin is survived by a man he called dad, Robert Bland; sons, Kevin, and David; stepson and stepdaughter, David, and Brittany; sister, Catherine; brothers, Michael, Kirk, Bobby, and Patrick; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also, many aunts and uncles who were raised as siblings. Kevin was an amazing great great uncle to brand new baby EJ, who loved him more than anything. Kevin was predeceased by his mother, Audrey Bland (Brine); grandparents, Hazel and Fred Brine (Knickle) who raised Kevin for some time; sister, Hazel; and brother, Eric. “It's with tearful eyes we watched you, saw you pass away and although we love you dearly; we could not make you stay; it breaks our hearts to lose you, just know you never went alone a part of us went with you when you decided to go home.” Taken from us way too soon after a long and courageous battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer society. Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists. A wake will be held at a family members residence. A funeral Service will take place at a later date. Kevin's heart will forever be held tight by his beautiful girlfriend Grace. He loved her more then life itself. She will forever carry on Kevin's spirit.
