It is with heavy hearts that we, the family announce the passing of our wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Sheila Kelly at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the age of 64.


Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Mrs. Eileen (Cameron), New Waterford and the late Dan Willie McInnis.


Sheila was employed at the Seaview Manor for 38 years. She was a member of St. Eugene’s Parish and was involved in the Cursillo movement. Sheila enjoyed her many trips, meals and adventures with her beloved group of friends.


Besides her mother, Eileen; she is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Mike Kelly; children, Lori (Jason) and Brian (Mellissa); she will be deeply missed by her little snuggle bug, her granddaughter, Abiageal. Also surviving are her siblings, Kim O’Hara (Mike), Halifax, Pat, East Bay, Brian (Delores), Dominion; sister-in-law, Peggy McInnis; cousin and best friend, Clare Sampson, as well as nieces, nephews, family members and many dear friends.


Sheila was predeceased by her father, Dan Willie; brother, Willie and sister Sharon.


Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a service will be held at a later date.
