Obituary of John Reginald Field

Field, John Reginald (Reg) It is with sadness that the family of Reg Field, age 74 of Sandy Cove, announce his passing on July 6, 2018. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Reg & Dorothy (McKeigan) Field. Reg is survived by his wife, Jocelyn; daughters, Monique (Aaron), Dana (Gary) and Kim (Greg); brother Stephen; grandchildren, Brittany, Jordan, Caelan and Hannah; great-grandson, Gage; father-in-law, Vance; son-in-law, Nick along with several bother/sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Beside his parents, Reg was predeceased by brother Gary and mother-in-law Elizabeth. Back in the day, Dad was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to go hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends. More recently, he enjoyed sitting on the wharfs of Sambro, sharing stories and perhaps a toast or two. Dad’s family and friends were his greatest pride. He most enjoyed when we were all together sharing a meal filled with laughter. Dad was especially proud of treating everyone to “Yogi’s” annual lobster boil. We are happy to know he has joined an amazing group of people in heaven catching up over a toast of their own. Arrangements have taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, (Bedford, 902-835-4212) with a private Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
