It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vera Lucy Fraser, age 78. She passed away peacefully April 17, 2021 at Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home with her loving husband by her side. Vera was born in Seabright, NS to James and Pearl Johnson on November 14, 1942. She was a loving and affectionate person by nature. She always enjoyed the company of family and friends which usually included a hug or kiss as her greeting and good-bye. During her younger years, she devoted her time to her children and spent many summer days with them at the family beach. She was a superb cook and baker. It was not unusual for her kitchen counter to be filled with freshly baked pies and treats. She also loved music and dancing, especially the polka. Even though she had many health issues later in life she always maintained a great sense of humour and demonstrated much strength. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as company and an occasional treat to satisfy her sweet tooth. Vera is survived by her husband, Reginald; daughter, Trina (Lindsay); son, Blair (Heather); grandchildren, Brian (Jill), Andrew (Nicole), Megan and Brett and great-grandchildren Ainslie, Marshall and Waylon; brother, Edward (Carol) Johnson; many nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to, T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax.
