Obituary of Kathleen Donovan

Kathleen Donovan, 79 Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Mary Kathleen Donovan 79, of Glace Bay has passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 6, 2021. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Turner and was a member of the Holy Cross Parish. Mom always enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She always looked forward to the pilgrimages to St Anne de Beaupre with her sister. She loved her family and had a special place in her heart for her great grandchildren. Kathleen is survived by son, Tim Jr. (Marie), daughter, Sherri (Ken); Grandchildren, Adam (Danielle), Andrew (Lindsay), Brandon (Abbey), Patrick (Kailea), Sean (Haley); great grandchildren Jaxon, Autumn, Isla, Leighton, Colton, Elijah, brother Stephen and nephews and nieces who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Tim; brothers Alfred and Vincent (Dorothy) and Sister Mary. “When Mom asked Dad if he loved her, he always said more than you will ever need or use.” The Family would like to extend their gratitude to the VON and Palliative Care teams. Memorial mass will be held at Holy Cross Parish, Seaview St. in Glace Bay, on Friday April 9th at 2 p.m. with Father Norman MacPhee presiding. Burial will follow at a later date.
