My deepest condolences to Dougie's loved ones. He truly was a very special person. I myself am fighting cancer and he and I would always compare our progress. He was one of my favorite Casino drivers. Rest in peace knowing you touched the lives of countless people.

I am so sorry for your loss Bonnie and family Doug was a great guy I use to see him in the Bingo at the Halifax forum and we always had a joke every time I seen him and the canteen was open I would call him chicken man and we laughed about that for a couple years now. when you seen Doug he never complained about his cancer he was alway happy go lucky with a smile, if he seen my address show up needing a cab he would say yep I new it was you and we would have great conversation. Man I am going to miss this man.

Uncle Dougie may have been the "Quiet Pellerine"(if there is such a thing) but his smile lit up the room and his laugh was infectious. My favorite memory of Uncle Dougie was at Grampy's funeral, for some reason Dougie and I were the only two downstairs in the funeral home and without words, he just came over and hugged me and we cried, wiped our eyes and then joined everyone else upstairs. Now you can join Grampy, Nanny, Chrissy and Bruce in keeping Pellerine Christmas Eve going up there and down here, we will keep celebrating and remembering until we are all together again. xoxo Angela

Bonnie I am so sorry to hear of Dougs passing. Barry & Doug were good friends. I’m not sure if you knew this, when Barry and I got engaged In 1977 Doug came with us to the Chinatown restaurant to celebrate! We had lots of laughs over the years. Condolences to you and your family.

Doug (aka Pedro in our teenage years) and I hung around a lot when we were kids and into our late teens. So much so that I was sometimes called Mikey Pellerine in school. I last spoke to him last Aug. at Ken's funeral for quite some time, and he was positive and hopeful for his future. All the best to Bonnie and family. Mike LeBlanc
