Dear Tiny, Debbie, Brian & Family,
We want to send our deepest & most heartfelt sympathies to you in the loss of your wonderful John G. We had many, many good times over the past 30+ years with he & Tiny. Playing golf was a thing we all loved. They visited us in Florida a few times & of course golf was on the agenda. Our trip to Newfoundland was a trip to remember! John G & John R also had many memorable times at “The Farm” in Iron Rock. The four of us watched the Blue Jays win two World Series in the 90’s! We will miss talking to him & visiting every time we were in the Halifax area. Our love & prayers to you all, may all our wonderful memories keep us all going through the months & years ahead❣️

To Tiny and family.
I was very sad to learn about John's death. He was a great neighbor and I remember they welcomed me during my first few days with an invitation for wine, snack and chat on their deck. When I would arrive back from being away, he would always call and check in. If he had a concern, he would call or come over. I shall not forget his kindness or his friendliness and I'm grateful for having known him.

Debbie,
I know how close you and your Dad were, and what a huge gaping empty space you feel now. I did have the privilege of meeting him a few times , and it was very evident that he was a kind and gentle man. I am keeping you and Brian close in my thoughts.

Our condolences to all the family. We were both shocked and saddened to hear that John has passed away. We enjoyed many games of golf with John and Tiny at Oakfield Golf Club. John was a wonderful organizer whether it be a party, a golf trip or a new cub and we were the beneficiaries. Bob had a nice BBQ with him not too long ago. He will be missed.

I was very saddened to hear the news of John's passing. He and Tiny lived next door to my parents, Bob and Olga King, for 18 years on the friendliest little court in Bedford. During that time, whenever I came by, John always greeted me with a huge smile and a chat. He was the gentlest, kindest man and I know my parents truly treasured him as a wonderful neighbour and friend. My mother has since passed but my father will miss his regular phone calls with John so much. I hope it comforts you to know how special he was considered by so many.

As Dad, such a good friend of John’s, would say, “He was a gentleman and a scholar”. I never saw John without a smile or a twinkle in his eye. He was always so genuinely happy to see people, and made you feel so great. I can hear the cribbage group laughing now, and can see his face lighting up when I popped into the office to see Dad. Oh, the antics I heard they got up to at conventions! I remember driving through old country lanes up in Sunnybrae with him. Very fond memories of such a dear man over many decades. Thinking of you all.
