It is with profound sadness and sense of loss, the family of Heather Elaine MacGregor of Middle Sackville, announces her peaceful passing in Palliative Care at the VG hospital in Halifax on February 17th, 2021 at the age of 53. Born in New Glasgow on May 14th, 1967, Heather was the youngest child of the late William (Bill) and Marcella (Smith) MacGregor. Following high school, she pursued a BSc degree in Human Nutrition from St. F.X. University graduating in 1989. Having developed an interest in Nursing, Heather enrolled in the Aberdeen School of Nursing from where she graduated in 1993. Always one for adventure, Heather headed to Kingsville, Texas to begin a long career in Nursing. From Texas, she moved to Bermuda where her two children were born. Returning to Nova Scotia more than twenty years ago, Heather completed her BSc in Nursing from St. F.X. University in 2002 and subsequently, her Masters in Nursing from Athabasca University in 2010. Throughout her career, Heather worked as a RN, a Clinical Nurse Educator, and most recently, as a Practice Consultant with the VON. Heather loved to travel and was an avid NASCAR and hockey enthusiast. Heather is survived by her fiancé, Brad Hebb (Middle Sackville); her children, Johnathan Gogan (Clayton Park) and Holly Gogan (Logan Doucette) (Digby). She is also survived by her brother, Sandy; sisters, Roseanne (Arthur Davidson), Joan (Jimmie Nelson) and Allyson (Jim Shaw), an aunt and two uncles, numerous cousins and nieces and nephews. Heather will also be dearly missed by her fur babies, Java, Gus and Oliver. Arrangements and Cremation have been entrusted to T. J.
