Obituary of George Werther MacDonald

MACDONALD, George, Age 70, Halifax. George had a natural, serene passing on February 4, 2021 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary site, with his sister Heather at his side. George was a poet, singer, artist, Reiki teacher, meditator; a dear friend, beloved by many. George was a St. Mary's U alumnus, and later retired at VanPools as supervisor. He lived his life in Halifax/Dartmouth and spent some of his happiest years at Samuel Prince Manor, before moving to Northwood. Greatly missed by sisters Heather Kelly and Elizabeth Brenton. George was predeceased by his parents, George and Irene MacDonald. A funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 2267 Brunswick St., Halifax, on February 12, 2021 at 11 a.m., registration is required. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bide Awhile Animal Shelter or charity of choice in memory of George. Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to T. J.
