Obituary of Mary Jane MacDonald

Mary Jane MacDonald Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, as well as great grandmother, Mary Jane MacDonald of Glace Bay sadly passed away on Sunday February 7, 2021 at the Glace Bay Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Evelyn and Louis MacKay. She herself in her younger years, has looked after the elderly and took passion in doing so. Not only was she a devoted wife, but an exceptional loving mother and grandmother. She loved and cared for her children deeply as well as her grandkids that she adored, and was very proud of each and every one of them, they were her world. She enjoyed her long drives in the countryside, she loved her fur babies and feeding the birds, sitting watching them for hours, there are no words to describe what a beautiful soul she was. Mary is survived by her husband of 54 years, Nelson MacDonald; daughters, Linda (Cordell), Helen (Sheldon), Mary Ann, Marie; sons Ronnie (Nicole) and John (Melissa); 11 grandchildren, Ryan (Chevon), Stephen (May), Greg (Caitlind), Ronnie Jr., Michael, Abbie, Jessica, Marcel, Mike, Tayler, Charles; three step grandchildren, Brittany, Samantha, Leo, and seven great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by 7 sisters, and 7 brothers, 24 nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Cecilia and Donelda for being by her side. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J.
