Obituary of Jenny Munden

Jenny Catherine Munden, age 66 Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we the family of Jenny Catherine Munden announce her passing on January 27, 2021, at home, with her family at her side, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Arthur James Berrigan and Mary Genevieve Berrigan. Mom was an avid dart player for many years, she would play in various leagues such as, The Army Navy, The Sergeant’s Mess, and the Legion. Mom worked alongside her beloved husband and family at Munden’s Lobster Pound for many years. Jenny is survived by her son, Charles Robert Janes, Grand Prairie, AB; her daughter, Genny Janes, Burton NB; one grandson, Cody Janes, Halifax, who was her pride and joy, and his “Nan’s world.” Jenny will be missed dearly by her lifetime best friend Ruby (Headley) McCormick, close family friends Melvin and Angela Tutty (Stephanie) and Colleen (Katie) MacKillop. Mom will be greatly missed by her extended family, the Munden’s; as well as her little dog Harley. Besides her parents, Jenny was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Jimmy Munden; brother, Arthur Berrigan; sisters, Mary Eileen (Minnie) McNeil, AB, and Rachel (Dolly) Layes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Cape Breton Cancer Society. There will be a Private Family Service, arrangements have been entrusted to T.J.
