Lorna Eileen Pace Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Lorna Pace on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Seaview Manor, Glace Bay. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late John and Hazel (Seymour) Clare. Lorna was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing darts, and every Saturday evening dancing with Emilio, which she loved. Every Christmas Eve, she would make her famous spaghetti and meatballs for all of her family to enjoy. Ma was known for her style, no one ever seen her without her hair done or make-up on including her husband and six children. Lorna is survived by her children, David (Patricia), Glace Bay, Bernadette (Walter), Port Morien, Bonnie (Dougie), Annalee (David), Lorraine (Stan), all of Glace Bay, Shannon (Craig), Fort St. John, B.C.; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Jackie (Cecil) Bert, Reserve Mines, Audrey Reid, Ontario, sister-in-law, Lorraine (Bill); brothers-in-law, Gary Pace and Sheldon McNeil, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Emilio, grandson, Michael Marshall, sister, Sharon, sister-in-law, Shirley. The family would like to thank the staff of the New Waterford Home Care for the care given to our mother for the past year and to the staff of Seaview Manor for their excellent care for our mom, during her short stay there. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 6-9 pm. at T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS 902-849-4199 A memorial service will take place 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Father Norman McPhee officiating.
