Obituary of Pius Spencer

Pius Spencer, 79 Bridgeport/Glace Bay We the family of Pius Spencer are saddened to announce his passing at the Glace Bay Hospital on January 10, 2021, with his family at his side. Pius was the son of the late Lawrence and Evangeline Spencer of Bridgeport. Pius worked at the Sydney Airport for many years. Dad’s favorite pastime was having his tea and doughnuts while watching old movies with his family and his good friend and neighbor, Tommy “Newfie” Lawrence. Over the years, Da opened his home to all of us and our families whenever we needed a place to call home. Pius has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all. We the family, would like to thank New Waterford Home Care, VON, Dr MacNeil and all staff who assisted in his care, with a special thank you to Tommy, for all that he has done for our father over the years. Pius is survived by two Sons; Danny (Sheila) and Gary (Ann); two Daughters; Darlene and Alice “Angel”; one Sister; Judy (Lambert) Frison; eleven Grandchildren; Fondah, Briar, Mandy, Devon, Sheena, Charisma, Jordan, Kelley, Maggie, Mark, and Kelsy; twelve Great-Grandchildren; Zayn, Mathew, Brayden, Addison, Kenley, Khloe, Kaisley, Jaxson, John, Caleb, Lillian, and Chase. Besides his parents, Pius was predeceased by his brother John and a Great-grandson, Ethan. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of T.J.
