I am very saddened to hear of Butch's passing. Growing up on Tenth Street, we were very often at the McDonalds' house and vice versa. Butch had a warm heart, a mischievous glint in his eyes and a great sense of humour. My sincere condolences to his family, he will be greatly missed. Janet Kavanagh

So sad to hear of Butch's passing. I have many fond memories of Butch. Butch fondly referred to my father as "Kevie". One of the most recent memories was the time we spent with Butch in Nita's kitchen drinking coffee and telling stories on our last trip to Cape Breton in September 2019. Dad has since passed away but, for him, that time with Butch was the highlight of the trip. Our condolences to the family. Butch, may you rest in peace.
