Obituary of Edward Peter Brophy

Age 73 of Lakeside, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Roy “Mick” and Anne (Lewin) Brophy. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Ted loved hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, shopping, hiking the trails and playing guitar. Survived by his loving wife, Linda (Whiting), Lakeside; son, Shawn, Orillia, ON; daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Smith, Lakeside; mother of his children, Valerie Blackburn, Lakeside; step-daughter, Katrina (Harnish), Chester; grandchildren, Andrew (Aimee) and Meghan; step-grandchildren, Dominique, Justin and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Jaxon; mother-in-law, Frances Hirtle; many nieces and nephews and many brother and sister-in-laws. Predeceased by sisters, Gail Longard and Karen (in infancy). Special thanks to paramedics Jeff and John; Constable Mark Seaman and John-Paul Renaud. Ted will be sadly and forever missed.
