Michael Shannon Boutilier Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Shannon Boutilier on December 21, 2020. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Lois Boutilier and Frank Melnick. He was employed with the Bottle Depot in Glace Bay and was also involved with the Militia; Shannon enjoyed playing darts and baseball, and was a huge Montreal Canadians fan, he also loved spending time with his family and friends. He was adored by his sister and her children, who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his parents, Lois Boutilier and Frank Melnick; sister, Danielle Boutilier (Colin Ashe); 3 nieces, Hailey, Jailyn and Seaira and nephew, Marcus; Girlfriend, Sarah MacNeil; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Shannon was predeceased by grandparents, Margaret (Payne) and Frank Melnick, Shirley (Bennett) and Billy Phalen and John Boutilier. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date under the care and guidance of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, (902) 849-4199.
