Rhoda M. Cann Reserve Mines It is with deepest sorrow that we, the family of Rhoda Cann of Reserve Mines, announce her passing on December 11, 2020 at the Glace Bay General Hospital. Born on August 31, 1931, Rhoda was the daughter of the late Ambrose 'Dick' and Ethel MacMullin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Bryant, her daughter Debbie (Howard) Amero, the light of her life, her granddaughter, Cheyenne McLean, her son-in-law Mark Duffney, brothers-in-law Normie Coffin and Fred Simms, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her precious daughter Bev Duffney, grandson-in-law Ryan, brothers Darrell and James 'Buddy', sisters Dorothy Somers, Ethel Simms and Amelia Coffin, sisters-in-law Sylvia MacMullin, Claire MacLean, Verba Cann and Louella Cann, brothers-in-law Bill Somers and Everett Cann. Rhoda loved spending her summers at the family "compound"-- The Lollipop in Loch Lomond. She enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by family and friends, loving every minute of serving them tea and homemade sweets. We will be forever grateful to her family doctor, David Ley and staff, Anne & Lynne, the doctors, nurses and staff of 3 East at the Glace Bay General Hospital, Cape Breton County Homemakers, VON, pharmacist Dale Turner and everyone who assisted in her care, especially her niece, Donna Collins. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2020 with Rev. Alison Etter and Martha MacDonald officiating at T. J.
