Hi Sylvia, Valerie, Janet and Tony, and all the kids, my deepest sympathy on the passing of Uncle Tony. I enjoyed his visits to Ma & Da’s. In the summer of ‘72 he spent a few nights on the couch and Ma would say get his car keys and cigarettes. Paul would come home and say give me the car keys, I was nervous about that but he would just go back and forth in the yard, he said he needed to practice for his license and boy did he ever need the practice, he backed over the fence Da had in the yard and he was the one that injured the silver maple at the end of the driveway, Da put a poultice on it and blamed it on Uncle Tony, well me and Paul didn’t say a word. Sorry Uncle Tony, sorry Da. In the morning I would pour Uncle a cup of tea and he was pretty shaky, so I would light him a cigarette and I felt Ma’s look, maybe it was because I was 12, lol.
