Obituary of Jean Carmella Jewells

Jewells, Jean Carmella (McLean) Glace Bay It is with great sadness, that the family of Jean Jewells announce her passing on November 26, 2020, at the age of 69. Mom was employed at Seaview Manor in the Housekeeping Department until her retirement. Mom loved watching cooking channels, and if you knew her, you would know that she could not cook; but she could bake pies and tea biscuits that would melt in your mouth. Left to mourn is her husband of over 50 years, Terrence Jewells; her children, Patricia Fukala (Gary), Terry, Allan (Darlene Glover), Lawrence, Donna (Billy); grandchildren Ashley, Ryan and Shane Fukala, Nathan and Kaylee Colson, Kyra Jewells and three great grandchildren; her sister, Patricia (Tissa) MacNeil; brother, Davie; and sister-in-law Nancy McLean; as well as numerous nieces and nephew, for whom she thought the world of; as family was her strongest love. Jean was predeceased by her father and mother Lauchlin and Gloria (Moffatt) McLean, Dominion; Sister Ann Stubbard and brother Rolfe McLean. “Take a deep breath Mom, Your job is done, You can now rest in peace.” Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 3, at 1 p.m., at TJ Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve Street, Glace Bay.(902)849-4199, with Fr. Duaine Devereau officiating.
