Obituary of Gerald Arthur Pottie

Age 75 of Halifax, passed away November 24, 2020 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary site. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Stephen and Muriel Pottie. Gerald worked for Bill Lynch shows for years. Retired from Sunbury Transport after working for several trucking companies for 50 years. He loved spending time at the cottage in Burnt Church and working on his hobby trains there. He is survived by his partner, Susan King of 40 years; brothers, Douglas (Gail) and Rene (Kathy); goddaughter, Amanda Connors; Uncle Peter Pottie. He was predeceased by brother, Stephen, sisters, Margaret, and Patricia. Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax. In keeping with Gerald’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
