Obituary of Ada Haggerty

Ada Florence (Rose)Nicholas Haggerty Sydney Mines It is with profound sadness that we the family of Ada Florence Haggerty announce her passing on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the age of 79. Born in North Sydney on August 17, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara Rose. Ada was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mom loved to spend time with her family; she loved to bake, do crafts and sewing. Most of all she loved Christmas, couldn’t have enough decorations. Ada is survived by her children, Betty(Cyril), North Sydney, Charles, Sydney Mines, Janet (Bruce), Ontario, Arthur (Deborah), Reserve Mines, Kenneth (Jill), Alberta, Paulette (John), Ingonish, Debbie (Joey), Sydney; stepchild, John, British Columbia; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Ronald (Shirley), Jackie (late Sarah), Jimmy (Wilma), Lou( Paulette); sisters-in-law, Donna, Clara (late Leroy), Tommy (Joan), Delores, Bonnie and Janice. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Charles ‘Buddy’ Nicholas; second husband, Darrell Haggerty; in-laws, Charles and Florence Nicholas, Theresa and stepdad Archie Hastie; siblings, Dave, Maurice, Wilfred, Jerry, Andrew,Ann,Nellie,Edith, Ruby, Gertrude, Pamela, Zita and Bertha; brothers-in-law, Stephen and Jackie. Cremation has taken place. There will be no services. Burial at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit, CBRH, for all your care and compassion given to Ada during her stay.
