Obituary of Donald Everett Scallion

It is with sadness that the family of Donald Everett Scallion, age 88 of Halifax, announce his passing on July 23, 2018 at home. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Roy Scallion. Don was proud to finish his 32 year career at the Dockyard as a fourth class engineer. Once retired, Don along with Sarah enjoyed their bowling league and spending many summers in PEI with good friends. Don is survived by his wife Sarah Leona (Taylor) of 59 years; sons James (Pauline), Donald, David (Caroline); daughter Katherine (Patrick) Sullivan; 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Beside his father, he was predeceased by daughter Deborah (Fred) Beshely and daughter-in-law Donna Hillier. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Bedford. (902-835-4212). As per his wishes, no funeral service will be held, and an interment will take place at a later date in Sunrise Park.
