Dearest Penny, I am so saddened to learn of Bev’s passing and cannot imagine the depth of loss that you must be experiencing. I have so many lovely memories of Bev, many of them backstage at your wonderful dance shows. One of my best memories happened around 1991 or 92. Alexis was in the Nutcracker and I had had surgery and Tim was working in Germany and I couldn’t get out to buy the stage make-up she needed. I called Bev in a panic and she put together a make-up kit for her and got us through. Just one of the many loving knidnesses she performed. I love you both and will see you on Thursday. Di

Dearest Penny – I was heartbroken to read of Bev’s passing in the Herald this week – she was an amazing soul – always so kind and sweet – I always loved running into her – I am so sad that I will miss her lovely champagne, strawberries and chocolate send-off at RA Park – what an awesome celebration choice – typical of her life attitude and demeanor – she will be missed greatly in this world – sending you huge HUGS! Mrs. Backman was one of my many teachers during my three years at Fairview Jr. High. I recall her wit, smile, and sternness when required. She was a great teacher and I will always remember her. Sincere condolences to her family and friends – May she RIP and fly high with the Angels.

We were so sad to hear the news of Beverley’s passing even though we knew it was going to happen. Penny your sister was one of a kind and she loved and cared so much for her baby sister. Victor your mother talked about you and your wife. She was so proud of what you both accomplished. I remember when your grandmother Ruth was ill and your mother took care of her and was always a good daughter. Penney…..I was shocked to read of Beverley’s passing. It was such a beautiful picture of her and it is the first time I could see how much you looked alike.I know your home life is going to be so different for you now but after some time passes somehow you get used to it. I hope as the days go by a smile will come to your face rather than a tear when you think of her. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything at all Penney. Thats what friends are for.(since we were 10)

Dear Penny, I am in the country and just learned of Bev’s passing. I am so sorry for your loss, and sorry for all of us who loved her. She was an amazing little girl, a beautiful mother, always devoted to you and Bill, and your amazing mother. She was an incredible teacher. She will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. Rest in Peace, dear Beverley. ❤️ I’ll be there Thursday for her Celebration of Life! Love always, Dilly & Family
