Obituary of Loretta Dodge

Age 95 of Spryfield, died peacefully at Melville Lodge on Monday, November 2, 2020. Loretta was born in Little Bras d'Or, Cape Breton Island (Nova Scotia) and raised in the community of Shenacadie, Cape Breton. Loretta worked most of her life at the VG Hospital. She is survived by her son, Bill; daughter, Louise; daughter in law, Linda; niece, Mary; along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special grandson Ray who was more like her own son. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Stanley of 53 years; as well as sons, Edward, and Jimmy; daughter, Rita; brothers, Murray, Johnnie, Roddy, and Jimmy; sisters, Mary, Sadie, Olive, Theresa, Hattie, Margaret, and Patricia. A special thanks to her granddaughter Heather for her many years of personal care. Loretta will be sadly missed by her brother George MacInnis of Windsor ON. Family Visitation only donations in Loretta’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Melville Lodge.
