Obituary of Viola Fedorak

Mary Viola (Holloway) Fedorak Dominion It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary ‘Vi’ Fedorak at the age of 95 peacefully on October 19, 2020. Born in Glace Bay on June 9, 1925 she was daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Nicholson) Holloway. Vi is survived by her children, Lana, Grayden and Donna; grandchildren, Kelsie, Joshua, Kim, Lindsay, Brandi, Mallory, Kasandra and Mathew; four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Stan (Eva)Holloway, who she was very close to; sister-in-law, Shirley Holloway; several nieces and nephews, Debbie (Dave) O’Brien, Linda (Gerry) Nuttall, Danny and Doreen who were very loving and supportive; her brother-in-law, Archie (Peggy) Pushie; her best friend and caregiver Marilyn Wilson who she had a very special relationship as well as her good friend Elaine Hanrahan. Mary always looked forward to all of their visits and outings. She enjoyed her quiet time watching her favorite shows and knitting her one of kind cozy slippers that her family and friends cherish. Mary was predeceased by her husband Stephen, children, Sandra, Steven and Tania; her siblings, Shirley, Uita May, Roscoe, George, Tom, Wally, Melvin, Allen and Margie. The family would like to thank the home care staff, VON nurses, and Dr. Gallivan at the Glace Bay Hospital and the staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m Monday, November 16, 2020 with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). Burial to follow in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Glace Bay.
