Obituary of Ray Brewster

Raymond Michael Brewster Glace Bay It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Raymond Brewster, age 67, on October 9, 2020 at the Glace Bay Hospital. Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late Raymond and Isabel Brewster. Ray was employed with Devco for several years. He later moved to Toronto to start a new career as a painter. Upon his retirement he moved back to Cape Breton to be close to family and friends. Ray passion was fishing in Northern Ontario with his best friend, Phil Lavallie and travelling to Jamaica. Ray is survived by his partner of 12 years, Diane Parlee; his children, Stephan (Brenda), Jason, Olivia (Pat) all of Ontario, Summer MacNeil and Justin MacNeil both of Glace Bay; his grandchildren, Jorden, Darris, MacKenzie, Kalan, Alexia-Rae, Izayah Danyal, Gibson, Grace, Haley and Brenda and a great grandbaby on the way; Diane’s son, Keith (Jen); her mother Barbara Campbell and the extended Campbell family, as well as his four legged buddy, Misty. He was predeceased by his son, Raymond Michael Brewster Jr. and grandson, Noah Danyal MacNeil. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Glace Bay Hospital, 3 South; special thanks to Dr. O. Odumosu and Dr. C. Boutilier for the care given to Ray. Cremation has taken place. As per Ray’s wishes there will be no service. Arrangements have been entrusted to T.J.
