Obituary of Nora Mary Gray

We are greatly saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Nora on September 21st 2020 at Northwood Nursing Home. Nora was the daughter of the late John Thomas O’Connell of County Cork, Ireland and Marie Jeanne (MacPhee) O’Connell of Cape Breton. Nora was employed at Eatons in both Halifax and Edmonton. She attributed her good memory to her passion for playing bridge. She was a long-time member of Saint Ignatius Church in Bedford. Nora was the last member of her family, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Gray, siblings; John, Patrick, Wilfred (Teddy), Margariette (Rita), Coneita, Mary (Dolly) Naplitano, Elsie (Tootsie) Naplitano. Nora will be greatly missed by her five generations of nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Northwood for the exceptional care and compassion she received. A private service will be held. Donations may be made in Nora’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Saint Ignatius Church.
