Obituary of Roddie Morrison

Morrison, Roddie Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Roddie Morrison, 61, of Glace Bay. Roddie was born and raised in Glace Bay. He was the son of the late Mary (Trapp) and Fabian Morrison. Roddie was an avid dart player, who participated in many leagues and tournaments throughout the years. He also enjoyed a good game of Tarabish from time to time. His career of 18 years was spent at CBIHA in maintenance and as groundskeeper. Roddie’s heart was full with family and friends and he cherished the time spent with them,he particularly enjoyed swimming, as well as playing a variety of sports with his son Dillon. Roddie is survived by his life-long partner Valerie MacGillivary, and their son Dillon. Brothers; Fabian (Cathy), John (Darlene), Henry (Kathy), Jimmy (Cathy), and Glenn (Jo-Anne).Sisters; Christina, Donna, and Diane. Also survived by many extended family members. Besides his parents, Roddie was predeceased by his sister, Norma Jean. Visitation for the late Roddie Morrison will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to be held on Tuesday, September 29, at 11 a.m., with Fr.
