Obituary of Ronald G. Beales

Ronald G. Beales, age 66 of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer, on August 12th, 2018 at the QEII, V.G. Site, Palliative Care Unit. He was predeceased by parents Ron and Hazel (Layden) Beales, brother John (Valerie), sister in law Brenda, brother in law Ken (Bev) Wilson, and his son Clifford. Ron is survived by his loving wife Pamela (Wilson) Beales; sisters Margie (Gerald) Glode of Pasadena NFLD, Tina Fitzgerald of Cornerbrook NFLD; brother Clifford of Cornerbrook NFLD; sister in law Debbie Wilson of Halifax NS; brother in laws Ed (Cathy) Wilson of Timberlea NS, Robert (Germaine) of Halifax NS, Mike (Shirley) of Chilliwack BC, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ron was born in Curling, NFLD, and came to Nova Scotia in the 1970’s. Here he worked in construction, animal control, and finally settled at Halifax City Field for 30 years as a laborer and then heavy duty truck driver. Ron always enjoyed a bottle of Coke. When he retired, he could be found at Tim’s with a single single and a bagel, reading the daily newspaper. Ron enjoyed reading mystery novels, playing games on the computer, and playing Bingo. The family wishes to thank Continuing Care of the VON, and the Palliative Care Unit, V.G. Site. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Bedford. (902-835-4212) In keeping with Ron’s wishes, no visitation or service will be held. Interment will take place at a later date in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
