Obituary of Geraldine Mary Whynot

Geraldine Mary Whynot, age 75 of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away at Queens General Hospital, Tuesday, September 1st 2020. Born in West Berlin, Geraldine was the daughter of the late C. Maynard and Alice Mary (Coade) Colp. Geraldine was a homemaker taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. She cherished drives and dining out with her husband. She loved her Kingo bingo.She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was passionate about spending time with her family and her dog Jake. Geraldine is survived by her daughters Bridget (Brian) Dorey of Liverpool and Joanne (Kevin) Colp of Beach Meadows. Her grandchildren Matthew (Angela) McKinnon of Bridgewater; Brittany McKinnon of Dartmouth; Kyle Colp of Halifax; and Kayleigh Colp of Brooklyn. Great grandchildren Madisyn, Maria, Callum, Landon, Kaylin, Lindsey, and Miranda. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Byron. Cremation has taken place under the direction of T.J. Tracey Funeral Home. At Geraldine’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
