Shirley Grace Driscoll Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts we the family announce the passing of Shirley Driscoll on August 5, 2020 at Glace Bay Hospital. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Curtis) Jillett. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and she will be missed by all who knew her. Shirley is survived by her loving children, John Thomas (Cathy), Derrick (Katherine), Shirley’s pride and joy, Leonard, Michael, David (Cheryl); her cherished grandchildren, Jeremy, Brycen, Robert, Derrick; step grandson, Chris; great grandson, Dechlan; brother, Chesley ‘Butch’; sisters, Jean and Mae; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband Tom; brothers, Jim and Bob; sister, Florence ‘Flo’. A Special thank you to the staff of Victoria Haven Nursing Home, as well as the staff of 3 West at the Glace Bay Hospital, for the care given to our mother during her illness. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held 11: 00 a.m. Wednesday August 26, 2020 at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens with Fr. Devereaux officiating.
