Obituary of Carol Brewer
Carol Anne Brewer
Gardiner Mines
It is with immense sadness, we the family of Carol Anne Brewer, announce her sudden passing on August 19, at her home in Gardiner Mines.
Carol was born in 1953, and raised in New Waterford; she was the daughter of the late Donnie and Pearl MacAulay.
Carol worked at New Waterford Consolidated Hospital for over 40 years as a Lab Technician. Her pleasant, friendly manner made her a special person to be around and she really enjoyed her interactions with patients and particularly her co-workers in the Lab.
Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, most importantly her grandson, Jacob, her pride and joy. Carol had an active social life; laughing, joking, sipping a few and enjoying life to the fullest. She was an avid dart shooter and could not wait to get back to darts this year to see her friends.Carol was especially fond of the yearly vacation trips she and her husband Sheldon took to Florida, as well as attending drag races throughout the Maritimes. Her fun personality made it very easy for her to make new friends where ever she travelled. She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by many.
Carol is survived by her husband of 42 years, Sheldon, her son; Dylan (Laura) and daughter; Sheryl (Matthew) Tomiczek, as well as her dearly loved grandson, Jacob, (they shared an indivisible bond ). She is also survived by her brothers, Donnie (Jeannine), Halifax, and Ronnie, Eastern Passage.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her sister, Barbara in 2012 and her brother, Dave, in May of this year.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and guidance of TJ Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. (902) 849-4199.
