Leonard "Len" Bond Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Leonard (Len) Bond of Glace Bay, announce his passing on August 22, 2020 at home, at the age of 84. Len was the son of the late Colin and Sue Bond. Len was employed with Devco for many years until his retirement. He loved fly fishing at the Dam, Cheering on his Boston Bruins, and Woodworking in his shop, dancing at the Seniors Club and he loved spending time with his fur friends, Benji and Paigey. Len is survived by his wife Rose (Sis) (MacIntyre) of 63 years, Son; Dwayne (Shelley), Daughters; Gail MacNeil, Karen (Joe) Gracie, and Tanya (Darrell) MacAuley. Sister, Rita Clements; Len is also survived by his Ten Grandchildren; Leonard, Matthew, Colin, Craig, Ashley, Courtney, Kaley, Ireland, Noah, and Ethan, Six Great-grandchildren; Abby, Riley, Elliot, Lucas, Aurora and Jackson, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Allie and Buddy; Sisters, Ada, Hattie and Jean. "Catch you on a 45" A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 9:30 a.m., with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating, at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St. Glace Bay. (902) 849-4199. Special Thank you to all the Physicians and Nurses who provided care for Len, your compassion will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Palliative Care, Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the public are asked to observe Public Health protocol by wearing Masks and following Social Distancing.
