Stephen Anthony AuCoin Glace Bay Celebration of Life On Sunday February 9, 2020 we said goodbye to a very special soul, Stephen Anthony AuCoin Jr, also known to many as “Tebo” passed away at the Northern Regional Hospital, Fort McMurray at the age of 65. Stephen was born and raised in Glace Bay, N.S. Prior to the big move to his Fort McMurray home, he worked as an air traffic controller in Gander Newfoundland. Stephen then moved to Ontario to begin his career in the oil and gas industry at Petro Canada. After 8 years, he found his place at Syncrude in Fort McMurray, Alberta, where he worked for 32 years. He called Syncrude, “home”, he loved what he did as a panel operator and enjoyed training new employees. Everyone who knows Stephen knew his greatest joys in life were his children and grandchildren, travelling, sports cars (especially corvettes), cooking (which we will all greatly miss), and spending time in Cape Breton with family and friends. Stephen always wanted everyone to have fun and enjoy the day whether it was in his boat on the Mira or in, "Moms kitchen". Stephens love and ambition for life will forever be admired. Stephen is survived by his three children; Dana, Whitney, and Dustin, his Grandchildren; Hadley and Kohen, his Mother; Norma, Sisters; Donna and Gina, Brothers; David, Allan and Michael. Stephen was predeceased by his father Stephen AuCoin Sr. As per Stephens wishes, Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Monday August 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. (902) 849-4199. Burial will be at St. Anthony Cemetery, with Gary Grant officiating. Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.tjtracey.com. Due to COVID-19 Regulations, Masks are Mandatory and we ask that you practice Social Distancing. Thank you. “Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.” “Forever loved, never forgotten.”
