Obituary of Kenneth Douglas Currie

Aged 71, Halifax, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in Arborstone Enhanced Care.
Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Lionel and Lillian (Fleet) Currie. He was a proud senior locomotive engineer with VIA Rail, retiring in 2007 after over 40 years of service.
Surviving are his heart broken daughters, Wendy (Dan Sanford), Glen Haven; Pamela (Travis) Fleet, Hubbards; grandchildren, Tyler Sutherland and Lauren Fleet; sisters, Jean (Richard) Surette, Amherst; Patricia (Michael) LeBlanc, Upper Rawdon; sister-in-law Linda Currie, Middle Sackville; special nephew and niece Dougie Langille, Queensland, and Catherine Middleton, Herring Cove; special care provider and friend Lynn Smiley, Middle Sackville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Lewis and William; two sisters, Mary Williams and Annie Claridge; and friend, ex-wife and mother of his daughters, Christine Currie.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request.
A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lower Sackville, 11:00 am on August 7th, 2020.
