Camilla Mae “Cam” MacPhee - Age 89 born and raised in Halifax, passed away on Thursday July 23rd, 2020 at Melville Lodge, Halifax, NS. Cam was known for her amazing seafood chowder, cheese biscuits and her love of cooking.
She got a great deal of pleasure from sending morning texts to her friends and family filled with emojis, it made her day, and ours. She was a member of Clayton Park United Church, where she volunteered her time for many years. She will be greatly missed by the closest of families and the best of friends.
Cam is survived by her three daughters, Karen Joan Mingarelli, Cyndi MacPhee and Penny Ordinelli (Eric Corkum); grandchildren, Corinna (Robert), Amy, Natalie (Drew) and Gillian will miss their “Boo”; great-grandchildren, Ava, Veronica, William and Finley will miss their “Nana Boo”; special nieces, Heather Greig Wood and Cathy Greig.
She was predeceased by her son, Scott MacPhee (Peggy); brothers, James Greig and Charles “Chuck” Greig; sisters, Florence Burgess, Eva Murphy and Jessie Clancy.
Arrangements and Cremation have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent.
In keeping with Cam’s wishes a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Melville Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, a cause close to Camilla and family.
