Neil James MacDonald Dominion It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Neil MacDonald, age 83, at the Halifax Infirmary on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Born in Bridgeport, Neil was the son of the late Malcolm and Lena (Collins) MacDonald. He was employed for many years with Devco until his retirement. Neil was a loving and kind man, who loved to tell stories and listen to music. He enjoyed helping others when in need and loved being a Papa. Neil is survived by his loving wife, Debbie (Prince) MacDonald; son, Richard, daughter, Janet; Debbie’s children, Mandy, Warren and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Logan, Joshua, Megan, Braelee, Shawn -Tiffany and Aaliyah; great granddaughter Maisie. Debbie and Neil’s grandchildren, Jonah, Brooke and Abbigail who loved him to the moon and back. He is also survived by his brother, Sheldon (Carolyn) MacDonald; as well as the extended Prince family. Cremation has taken place. A family memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday July 17, 2020 officiating at T.J Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Glace Bay Hospital, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Halifax Infirmary and the VON for all the care given to Neil over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Diabetic Society. ‘Your physical presence is gone, but you are always in my heart. I will love you forever.
