Obituary of Alice Bennett

Alice Mary Bennett Glace Bay It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our wife, mother, grandmother,aunt and friend at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 20, 2020. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Edward Francis and Helen (Whiting) Ford. Alice was employed at Cadigan’s Fisheries for 20 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends at the Casino and attending Toy Bingo at the Glace Bay Fire Department. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Gerald; two sons, Gerry (Barbie) and Troy (Corrina); grandchildren, Hilary, Jenna, Fraser and Daniel; her precious great grandchild, Finlay. She is also survived by her brothers,James, Hoyles (Girlie), Rocky (Thelma), Glen (Linda); sisters, Frances (Bill) and Delores (Mick) as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Jerry, Art, Sidney, Paul and Archie. Cremation has taken place. A private family visitation and memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to T.J.
