Sadly, Claire Florence MacLean of Glace Bay, passed away peacefully, at home May 21, 2020 at the age of 92. Growing up in Number Eleven, she was the daughter of John and Georgina (Andrews) Cann and wife of the late Neil MacLean.
Mom was the creator of her own Fudge recipe,known locally as, “The Best Ever”.
She is survived by two sons, Brennon(Brenda) and Blake; Grandchildren, Brandi (Jason), Briana and Brittany; Great- grandchildren, Cohen and Allie; Brother Bryant and Sister-in-law Rhoda.,
Besides her parents and husband, she is pre-deceased by her son, Burl, and his daughter Lisa; Sisters Verba, Louella, and Brother Everett.
The last few months of her life were eased with the help of both New Waterford Homecare Service and Palliative Care Society. Both organizations deserve and have our sincerest gratitude.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glace Bay Food Bank, New Waterford Homecare Service, Palliative Care Society or a charity of your choice.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, at 11 a.m., with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199.
