Mary Belle McInnis Glace Bay Mary Belle (Lynk) McInnis, 87, of Glace Bay passed away May 22,2020 at Glace Bay Hospital, Glace Bay. Born in Donkin NS she was the daughter of Gordon and Lucy (Lawless)Lynk. Mom was very active throughout her entire life, engaging tirelessly in her favourite activities such as camping at Ben Eoin Beach, bowling, quilting with Mary McNeil or playing a good game of cards with family in Donkin. Besides spending time with her family, which she valued above all else, one of moms passions in life was traveling. She would often be found browsing through travel books and brochures meticulously planning her next international excursion to Italy or Greece, a bus trip to New York City, or a weeks long visit to her sisters in Canada. Her daughter Judy, moms constant traveling companion and loving care giver, was always at her side sharing amazing travel adventures with “Little Nanny”. In recent years mom looked forward to spending summers with family at Judy’s cottage on the Gentle Island, enjoying the beaches, bon fires and of course watching CNN and every game of her beloved Toronto Blue Jays. A favorite destination for mom was her sister Cassell's home in Ontario, where they would spend hours shopping, talking with friends and planning their next visit. Cassells great love, kindness and support for our mother was ever-present and always appreciated. Mom was a very hard worker and was employed for many years at the General Hospital in Glace Bay where she made many lifelong friends, especially Kay McInnis with whom she had a special bond.
