Obituary of Jimmy Swartzack

James Edward Swartzack Glace Bay, 61 We, the family, of James ‘Jimmy’ Swartzack heartbrokenly announce his passing on Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. He was the son of the late John and Irene (Warren) Swartzack. Jimmy worked as a door, window and siding installer for Murphy’s Aluminum for years. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his big brother, John (1998); brother-in-law, Jerry Moore (2010) and sister-in-law, Judy Swartzack (2018). Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Brenda Darroch; sisters, Jackie MacKinnon (Simon), Anne Ellsworth (Harvey), Jerusha Yorke (Gerry), Marion ‘Betty’ Moore (late Jerry), Cynthia Peach (John); brothers, Joseph (Colleen) and Anthony (Marianne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him very much. Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at a later date. Thanks to all the doctors, nurses and palliative care, who took care of Jimmy for the last eight months as he battled cancer. Donations may be made to the Cancer Center.
