Obituary of Vera Pauline Ryan

RYAN (JOLLIMORE), Vera Pauline- Age 81 of Terence Bay, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2020 at Arborstone Enhanced Care in Halifax, NS. She was the daughter of the late Russell and Doris (Harrie) Jollimore of Terence Bay, and last surviving family member. She is survived, and will be immensely missed, by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years Clarence “Chum” Ryan of Terence Bay; daughter, Patrisha (Danny) Forgeron; grandchildren, Stacy (Jen Russell) and Matthew (Haley) Forgeron; great grandson, Benson Russell, all of White's Lake. She was predeceased by her daughter, Janice Ryan (December 2019); sisters, Marie Shornys, Edna Ryan and Linda Mitchell ;brothers, Ernie and Ronald Jollimore. She resided in Terence Bay and cherished her ocean views, especially on sunny days. In her younger years she enjoyed legion dances and bingos at Buddy's Canteen. Over her lifetime she worked at Farmer's Dairy, Moirs Chocolate and retired from Sears Canada in 1986 after 18 years of service. In retirement, Vera enjoyed; weekly rummoli games with the girls, volunteering her time helping the residents and staff of Arborstone Enhanced Care, and spending quality time with family. She loved her family dearly and Benson especially brought her joy; she was always in absolute awe of him. As a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Terence Bay she was an avid church goer with undeniable faith. Vera's kind heart and gentle soul will be missed by many. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Harris Crooks and to the staff and volunteers of Arborstone Enhanced Care for their care and compassion over the years.
