Obituary of Andrew Elwood Clayton

Andrew Elwood Clayton Age 91 of Halifax passed away April 29th 2020 at Northwood Halifax Campus. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia he was the son of Samuel J. and Idella (Croxen) Clayton. Andy was the oldest member of Emmauel Baptist Church. He worked making barrels in the Cooper shop, Clayton Eisenhauer Lumber Mill and in the woods with his father. He loved cutting grass and did many odd jobs for members of the community. He also loved fishing and telling stories. At Northwood, his favorite activities were playing bingo, watching Judge Judy and listening to church & country music. He was predeceased by his sister, Rhona; brothers, Samuel Jr., Dr. Willard Clayton, Bruce, Raymond, Nick, Tremaine and Earl. Interment with Rev. Dr. Lennette J. Anderson officiating will be held at a later date. Special thank you to the staff of 5C for the care they gave Andy and for the many condolences and expressions of love.
