Obituary of Joyce Loretta Brown

Joyce Loretta Brown age 82, passed away peacefully at the QEII on April 24, 2020, with her son Howie by her side. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Pearman and Elizabeth Slaunwhite. Sister to the late Shirley Redmond, Robert and Stanley Slaunwhite. She was aunt to many nieces and nephews. Wife of the late Kenneth Brown, Joyce and Ken shared a love of music that was passed down through the generations. We shall miss her loving presence that she brought to our families. Mother to Ken (Leslie), Howie (Janet), Karl (Belinda), Stephen (Sue). Grandmother to Lyndsay, Michael, Christopher, Matthew, Kahlie, Katie and Geordy. Joyce retired as a long-term employee of Dalhousie University. She never missed a celebration, we want to celebrate our mother! A celebration of life will take place at a later date. She will be sadly missed but always remembered. Donations can be made to the MS Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
