Obituary of Everett Ira Steeves

STEEVES, Everett Ira- Age 77 of Mount Uniacke passed away April 23, 2020 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary Site. He was a son of the late Everett and Inez (Gallant) Steeves. Everett was a truck driver for 36 years and worked for Atlantic Wholesalers until he retired in 2001. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, along with working out in his garage out back. He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years Georgina Steeves; sons, Tony (Gina) Steeves-Morgan, Alberta, and Leslie Steeves, Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Brittany Morgan, Alberta, and Calvin Steeves, Dartmouth; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Floyd (Maurita) Steeves, Alberta, Stan (Coleen) Steeves, USA, Carl Gallant, USA, Bill (Carolyn), Sparke Alb, Robert Gallant, Darrell (Gaylee), Sparke PEI, and Russell Sparke, NB; sisters, Jaunita ( Mike) Blenus, Canning, Brenda (Edmond), Pottie of CB, Betty (Gerald) Blenus, Canning, and Darlene Keddy, Canning; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his stepmother Johanna (Nancy) Steeves, brothers, Donnie Gallant, Hank Steeves, Eddie Steeves and Wayne Sparke. A special thank you to all the staff at the QEII, especially the doctors and nurses on floors 8.1 and 5.2. Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent. In keeping with Everett’s wishes there will be no funeral services at this time with a celebration of life at a later date.
