William ‘Billy’ Sudworth Glace Bay It is with broken hearts and profound sadness we the family of Billy Sudworth, announce his sudden passing on Saturday, April 25, 2020. Billy was a member of Local 682 Plumbers and Pipefitters and was employed in Alberta until 2018, most recently he worked at C.B. U. for Chartwell Canada. Billy was larger than life and had a great sense of humour, when he entered a room you knew he had arrived. He loved to garden and spent many hours in the yard tending to every detail. In his younger years, he played baseball, darts and broomball and made friendships that lasted a lifetime. Born Jan. 19, 1956, he was the son of Frances and the late Bill Sudworth. Billy is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Helen (Petite),daughter Jennifer (John) Green; son, Billy (Julia Baldwin); and his six grandchildren who Papa adored, Jeff, Jessica, Josh, Jillian, Erik and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his brothers, Gee(Laura Lea), Donald (Karen), Todd (Cheryl); sister, Helen Ruth; mother-in-law, Jean Petite; sisters-in-law,Linda(John) Eveleigh, Darlene (John) Matheson, Jacqueline (Gary MacPherson); brother-in-law, Billy; as well several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Bill, he was predeceased by his sister Alice ‘Sissy’ and father-in-law, Jack Petite. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199).
