Glen Joseph McGean Sydney With heavy heart we,the family of Glen Joseph McGean wish to announce his passing on Thursday April. 23, 2020 at his home. He was born in Florence on June 17,1954. Glen was the son of the late Mary (Butts)and Robert McGean. He was a coal miner for over 25 years,throughout those years he worked at the Prince,Lingan and Donkin Mines. In his younger years Glen liked to bowl, play darts and camp at the Englishtown Ridge Campground with his wife and daughter. In recent years he enjoyed playing Texas Hold’em poker with his friends, eating at Kay’s Restaurant and most importantly he loved spending time with his beloved daughter Natasha, whom he was so very proud of. Glen is survived by his daughter- who was his absolute pride and joy,Natasha (Kyle), his son Glen Robert (Natalie), and his grandson Hudson. Also surviving are his brothers Robert “Bud” (Trish), Alister (Joyce), and Liam “Red” (Veronica). His sisters Roberta “Bobby”, Elenore “Nin” and Mary (Reg). He was predeceased by his wife, who was the love of his life, Rogene, his Mother and Father, and his brother Tom. No visitation. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held later. Special thanks to all the staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Regional Hospital, especially his favorite RN Linda Murphy, who treated him like gold. All the VON and CCA Staff and Dr.Aboud, Dr. Burns, Dr.McKeough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Regional Hospital. “Today a golden heart stopped beating and two busy hands were stilled.”
